How do NL2 Party Rentals work?

NL2 Party Rental Equipment offers DIY (Do-It-Yourself), contactless weekend rentals. Customers enjoy equipment for the entire weekend, not by the hour—giving you time to prepare and celebrate without feeling rushed.

NL2 provides clean, ready-to-use equipment, basic necessities, and instructions. Customers handle setup, décor, operation, supervision, and return. Optional delivery and pickup may be available for an additional fee.

Are all rentals weekend-only?

Yes. All rentals are reserved as a Friday–Sunday weekend rental block, regardless of the actual event date.

Why does the booking system show Friday at 4:00 PM?

When booking online, all customers select Friday at 4:00 PM.
This selection reserves the weekend only and does not represent your actual pickup or return time.

All pickup, delivery, and return details are confirmed via email after booking.

What if my event is on Friday?

Customers hosting Friday events or needing equipment for Friday use will be scheduled for a Thursday advance pickup.
Returns still take place on Sunday, unless otherwise approved by NL2.

Where can I see pricing?

The full rental cost is displayed when you click on each package and review the package details on our website.

Is a deposit required?

No. NL2 does not require refundable security deposits for any rentals.

Instead, all rentals require a $60 non-refundable Booking, Reservation & Standard Cleaning Fee:

  • $30 is applied toward your rental total

  • $30 covers reservation, preparation, and standard cleaning

This replaces deposits and separate cleaning fees, making the booking process simpler and more transparent.

Is there a separate cleaning fee?

No. Standard cleaning is included.

Renters are expected to return equipment in the same general condition received, free of excessive dirt, debris, or misuse.
Additional cleaning, repair, or replacement fees may apply if equipment is returned excessively dirty or damaged.

What is your cancellation, refund, and rescheduling policy?

All NL2 Party Rental Equipment rentals and reservations require an upfront booking payment or booking fee to secure the rental date and equipment.

  • Booking payments and booking fees are non-refundable

  • For fully paid rentals, any amount paid beyond the booking payment or fee may be eligible for a refund or credit if cancellation occurs at least 48 hours before the scheduled event date

  • No refunds are issued for cancellations made within 48 hours of the event date

How are refunds issued and how long do they take?

When a refund is approved:

  • Refunds are issued via NL2 Business Check only

  • Approved refunds are typically processed within 24–48 hours

  • Checks may be picked up or mailed upon request

This method helps avoid delays commonly associated with electronic payment reversals and ensures accurate record keeping.

Can I reschedule instead of canceling?

Yes. When eligible, NL2 may allow booking payments or booking fees to be transferred to a future rental date under the following conditions:

  • Requests must be made at least 48 hours before the scheduled event date

  • The new date must be within 90 days of the original reservation

  • Transfers are subject to availability

  • Only one transfer is permitted per booking

Booking credits have no cash value and cannot be transferred to another customer.

What if there is an emergency or severe weather?

NL2 understands that emergencies happen. Requests related to verified emergencies or severe weather may be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

Approval of any refund, credit, or exception is not guaranteed and will be confirmed in writing if granted.

What happens if NL2 has to cancel my rental?

In the unlikely event NL2 must cancel a rental due to unforeseen circumstances, customers will be offered either:

  • A full refund of all payments made, or

  • A full credit toward a future rental date

Approved refunds are issued via NL2 Business Check and processed within 24–48 hours.

Do you offer delivery and pickup? (Curbside Only)

Yes. Optional delivery and pickup may be available for an additional fee.

NL2 staff do not enter homes, buildings, venues, or backyards and do
not carry equipment beyond the curb or designated drop-off point.

The renter (and/or renter’s support persons) must be available at the scheduled time to receive the equipment and transport it to the desired location.

What areas do you serve?

NL2 Party Rental Equipment services locations within a 60-mile radius of Bloomington–Normal, Illinois.

Delivery requests outside this service area are not available at this time.

What is required to secure a rental?

To secure your rental package and date, the following are required:

  • Payment of the $60 Booking, Reservation & Standard Cleaning Fee

  • Completion and approval of the rental agreement

  • Valid government-issued photo ID

  • Remaining rental balance paid 48 hours prior to your scheduled event

  • Equipment is released only after full payment and agreement approval

Is there an age requirement to rent?

Yes. The primary renter must be 21 years of age or older.

Requests from renters ages 18–20 may be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and require prior approval from NL2.

Who is responsible for setup, supervision, and use?

The renter is fully responsible for:

  • Setup and breakdown

  • Supervision of participants

  • Safe operation and use of equipment

  • Proper return of all items

NL2 does not provide on-site attendants, supervision, setup, or breakdown services unless explicitly stated in writing.
